Today we begin our series of detailed catwalk reports following the launch of the new designer wedding dress collections at White Gallery, which took place in London from 20th - 22nd May 2012.
First in the spotlight is royal couturier Stewart Parvin, who got the show off to a fabulous start with his stunning 2013 collection.

With simple silhouettes, minimal fuss and beautiful attention to detail, the new collection made a strong style statement. Taking inspiration from song titles spanning several decades, the dresses included Penny Lane, a short bustier style, Crazy for You, a stunningly simple and elegant textured column as well as Wild Horses and Avalon, both with fitted bodices and huge full skirts.
My personal favourite was Baby Can I Hold You, with a beautiful fit and flare shape and exquisite detailing.

Closing the show was the incredible Warm and Tender Love, a stunning silk brocade gown with an exotic parrot motif. With a back fastening 50s style jacket and cuffed sleeves, the dress provided a truly jaw dropping finale.

Clean lines, sophisticated styling and exquisite cut are what have come to be expected from the master of couture, Stewart Parvin, who created the critically acclaimed wedding gown for the Queen's granddaughter, Zara Phillips.
For 2013, the designer has created a glamorous collection with a pared down aesthetic. Demure, yet modern, Parvin has set the tone for a return to simple elegance and modern iconic minimalism.
