The Fowey hotel has a Civil Wedding license and is an intimate venue for a wedding, Civil Partnership or renewal of vows. If you are planning for a small day wedding during the summer months or want a winter wedding that is really special then The Fowey is the perfect venue. The Fowey is a romantic location that can accommodate all your wedding requirements or just a part - you may choose to have the ceremony at the hotel and a reception elsewhere or perhaps you are getting married in a Church wedding and just want to hold your Reception at the hotel.

Receptions can be held in the restaurant, which can cater for a maximum of 70 guests. For smaller more informal wedding receptions you can hire the Piano lounge for up to 24 people seated or 30 for an informal buffet. The hotel's Tea Gardens are ideal for welcome drinks and canapes during the summer months.

Wedding photographers are spoilt for choice with our beautiful gardens, breathtaking views,Victorian architecture and, if it is a sandy carpet underfoot that you desire, the local beach at Readymoney is only a short walk away!

The Fowey can host an intimate event catering to a maximum of 30 people throughout the year. For a larger affair, daytime weddings are welcome in the summer months between the hours of Noon - 5.30pm. Between October - March a winter wedding can be held at any time (excluding peak times such as Christmas). If you would like a full day affair during the summer months then it is necessary to reserve all of the hotels' 37 bedrooms for 2 nights.

Entertainment can be arranged either by yourselves or by the hotel depending on which you would prefer. The hotel is licensed to have performances of non-amplified entertainment on the Beer and Tea gardens and amplified music within the hotel.

The hotel has seen jazz, rock and roll, steel drums, discos and even a scrap band perform and will welcome any form of entertainment you would like. Entertainment is permitted until 11.00pm; we are able to apply for a later extension at a surcharge. The hotel’s liquor licence is until 11pm midweek and until midnight on Friday and Saturdays.
